The Highlights
A good start with a 32% strike rate in our first three months of trading validates the Farming All Risk proposition is a welcome addition to the market, and our pricing is competitive.
Notably, 57% were new‑business to brokers, reflecting how a differentiated offering can help you win new clients—tangible evidence that our proposition provides a real edge to take on the direct players in the sector.
We’ve been successful winning business from most major competitors so far, with many of our wins coming from the direct players. This demonstrates the successful pairing of professional advice and customisable coverage.
Areas for Improvement
Clearer appetite guidelines: based on your feedback, we’ve simplified our appetite—we are now targeting Working Farms paying premiums in excess of $30,000, where scale and complexity of the farming operations demand tailored protection.
Broker comfort with product and navigating differences to current policies: it has become increasingly evident that we need to step up our efforts to help you articulate the advantages of our product with your clients. See below enhancements for more.
Upcoming Enhancements
Higher farm liability limits have been requested, particularly for mobile machinery—a solution is being developed in conjunction with a new farm motor enhancement that is coming soon.
Policy comparison which has been developed in partnership with LMI, benchmarking our product against 10 other farm insurance offerings, will soon be released—this will provide you with clear evidence to support recommending the Farming All Risk product with confidence.
